About the Authors
Polina Golubkova
Born in Kyiv, Ukraine and a lifelong lover of the arts and literature of her homeland, Polina lived in many countries around the world before finally moving to San Antonio, Texas to be a middle school math teacher. It was there that she met her best friend and loyal cat companion, Murzyk. Besides admiring her cat, she also likes to feed pigeons in the park, walk her neighbor’s dog and eat ice-cream. She recently moved to Munich, Germany, but she continues to work for an international school based in Kyiv, and is always looking forward to work trips back home.
Jacob Bourgeois
Raised in Vermont, a lover of the outdoors and curious about the world, Jacob studied foreign policy and history before ending up in his dream profession helping companies to become more environmentally friendly. His work has taken him across the United States and many countries where he enjoys seeing the diversity of plant and animal wildlife that the world has to offer and indulging in his passion for birdwatching. Jacob currently resides in Munich, Germany.
Bogdana Bondar
Bogdana Bondar received two higher education diplomas, including one at National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Book Graphics, and another at the Kyiv National University Taras Shevchenko in International Law. She is an experienced illustrator for children's publications with titles published in Ukraine such as Sofia, a Mouse and Three Nuts, the Adventures of Ustymko and his Guardian Angel, and Patron. She is based in Kyiv, Ukraine.
